Newport Landing Restaurant

Newport Landing Restaurant was the first restaurant for Waterfront, opening in 1986. Newport Landing been a seafood and oyster bar restaurant that appeals to the locals in Newport Beach for generations. Menus have influences from Hawaii and other Pacific Rim styles and flavors which have won numerous awards. The Landing has an upstairs oyster bar offering fresh shucked blue point oysters that are flown in daily from the east coast. Their New England clam chowder is famous, along with the house made bloody mary that is made with peppar vodka. Fresh seafood, ahi poke, ceviche and pacific swordfish are among the favorite menu items. Newport Landing uses a house made batter for the fish & chips and calamari, and offers other items such as steamed clams, seafood pasta, shrimp louie salad, mahi tacos and of course, the best burger in town. The Landing also offers a daily happy hour that is known for being the “longest happy hour in town” which includes small plates from $5-$9 each, in addition to beer, wine and cocktails in the same price range. If you need a private banquet room, the Landing has numerous choices from 10-100 person capacity, in addition to a covered outside patio known as the Lanai, that is heated on cool nights, and sits on the bayfront.

The Landing is dedicated in serving fresh sustainable seafood like diver scallops, Pacific line-caught swordfish, Atlantic and king salmon, mahi mahi, Alaskan halibut and many other seasonal fish. The restaurant is also known for some very unique tropical cocktails like famous “Big Kahuna” which is served in a 60 oz schooner. Craft beers and California wines are always featured.

Harborside

Harborside Restaurant is in Newport Beach and is located inside the historic Balboa Pavilion, built in 1906, and was the first building erected on the Balboa Peninsula. This location was acquired in 2002 and was extensively remodeled. The restaurant is literally located on pilings over Newport Harbor, so almost every table in the dining room or saloon have some of the best views of the bay. The award winning menu features not only fresh local and sustainable seafoods like Pacific Swordfish and Orange Coconut Crusted Salmon, but also New Zealand rack of lamb and pot roast. In addition, Harborside offers cioppino, seafood pasta, filet mignon and a center cut New York steak. In addition to serving lunch and dinner every day, Harborside also offers a famous happy hour of small plates \ from $5-$9 and craft beers, local California wines and both tropical and famous cocktails. Six flat screen televisions in the saloon feature most sporting events for all to enjoy. The dining room, in addition to the waterfront booths, has a separate private dining room for parties up to 25. Harborside also has it's own 45’ of private dock space for guests to tie up their boats when dining.

Harborside Banquets

Harborside also has a very large private ballroom known as the Grand Ballroom on the second floor. Events are held at this picturesque location that can be very upscale, or more beach casual. The ballroom is about 7000 square feet, with a mostly wood dance floor and 10’ high windows on three sides has the best views of Newport Harbor of any private venue. The banquet staff is skilled in serving any type of event including fund raisers, weddings and receptions, school events, birthdays, anniversaries, as well as celebrations of life. Harborside Grand Ballroom is very unique and offers affordable yet stylish special events that will fit almost anyone’s budget. The Grand Ballroom seats up to 500 guests or can be divided into smaller events including wedding ceremonies on one side and receptions on the other.

Oceanside Broiler

The Oceanside Broiler is the newest waterfront location that was purchased in 2013, extensively remodeled and opened in May of 2015. The Broiler is located on the Oceanside harbor, offering both inside and outside dining with outstanding views. The menus feature fresh and sustainable seafood including line-caught Pacific Swordfish, Costa Rican Tilapia, Atlantic and King Salmon, diver scallops, fresh Rock fish and many other seasonal fish. Also offered are center cut New York steaks, top sirloin, cioppino, jumbo skewered shrimp, scallops and a delicious roast beed sandwich. One of the most popular offerings are fish & chips, made with Alaskan caught cod using their own in-house batter. The Broiler offers both lunch and dinner, along with a daily happy hour on the outdoor, covered and heated Lanai,with prices ranging from $5-$9 for small plates and locally crafted beers on tap, wines and happy hour drinks. The Lanai is well known for where the locals hang out to relax and enjoy the harbor views. The Broiler also has a private banquet room that can accommodate up to 75 guests with a flat screen television, or a smaller room with a huge freshwater fish tank that seats up to 50 guests.
